Searching the Database / Specifying Inventory Items

The GRIN-Global database can be searched from different starting points. You can search when you know a specific accession by its name or identifier. You can search by taxa, and you can search for accessions by their traits ("Descriptors").

Beginning in June, 2021, Release 2.1.0, it became possible to search by accession and then select specific inventory for the desired accession if more than one inventory is available. This feature is primarily used with clonal crops, where several plants may represent a single accession.
