Curatorial staff and other genebank employees who will be using GRIN-Global should familiarize themselves with the user documentation. The following documents are frequently updated so please revisit these periodically to download the current documents. (Save a tree - don't print!)
Curator Tool release notes are stored in an appendix in the Curator Tool User Guide. The main menu above also has a link to the release notes.
Note to germplasm requestors: the documents listed here are designed primarily for genebank personnel using the Curator Tool, a GRIN-Global program. The Public Website, the GRIN-Global tool used for searching for and ordering germplasm, has its own help file (also available under the Documentation option above).

Five new tables provide an extremely flexible method for adding more detailed information about the collection site which was not possible with 1.0’s single accession_source table. Now genebank personnel can use the custom source habitat descriptors for an unlimited amount of detail on the collection site.

Some users prefer using codes rather than the longer text titles, especially when bulk importing data from a spreadsheet to the CT – this document explains how to set up an alternative language (such as "ENG"). Although this document was originally written for NPGS users, it is applicable to other organizations.
